A blue moon falls on my birthday this year
And falling then will bounce to rise and shine
I hope the sky is clear to see it here
Because of all blue moons this moon is mine
And why is it blue? Because there are two
Full moons in my birth month of December
The first one followed by the one called blue
One for now and then one to remember
Coming soon a blue moon will rise with a smile
Doing what only a blue moon may
With more moonlight than has been seen in a while
To round off the year with my birthday
It is only blue if it is number two
And not just a full moon but a gift
Because the second moon in a month is blue
Like me to give me a little lift
A blue moon is coming to welcome me
Into a new year of my existence
A blue moon is the perfect moon to be
A kiss from the sky for my persistence
A blue moon falls on my birthday this year
And falling then will bounce to rise and shine
I hope the sky is clear to see it here
Because of all blue moons this moon is mine

Delightful, lyrical, wonderful, magical! I love your poem; I love the moon.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
