"Perpendicularity / Is a rarity / To me"

Poem Artwork

Pretty Good at Parallel

For something to be normal it is supposed to be
Perpendicular
To a tangent at a point of tangency

I have gone off on tangents aplenty
And yet I am not perpendicular

If ever I was or ever I were
To be
That way that would not be me

Though there are a few things I do well
Being pretty good at parallel
For example and possibly poetry
Perpendicularity
Is a rarity
To me

I stand a gentle contrapposto apropos
To one who does and yet who does not know
Who cares quite a lot
And yet who hopes to think he wishes he did not

While perpendicular is normal, parallel is not abnormal, unless you consider parallel universes normal, then you have a tangential paradox to consider:-) Patrick

Doesn't perpendicular mean making a turn?
I like a straight road, myself.
LOL
God bless,
