I. Simba or Fathead or Big Bug

Silvertipped Simba with your little black spot of a butt
Whether Simba or Fathead or Big Bug no matter what
Your name your fame precedes you as cool and always in control

A pretty kitty I am glad to know now even though
You were the last to come around you found me even so
A little shy but I know why as kind of a cool cat too

The best for last they say today I find a friend in you
With your permission finally yet better late than never
To share a smoke and a feline joke about that dead mole
You brought in that Marisol took out again (and swallowed whole)

Thank you for including me in your feline whatever

II. Marisol Ate it All

Marisol ate it all so I got more
Dog food for hungry Bowser at the door
Not really hungry but hanging around
Hoping that maybe a bone could be found

Except they are frozen now and must thaw
To be near the chosen how of the raw
Or at least not bony popsicles though
Bowser would give one a go even so

I like to give my best to everyone
Like dusty dogses in the desert sun

III. Simian Sonnet

Living on leaves nuts and berries and grapes
Here I stand at the top of the apes
If at the bottom of humanity
Life having made a monkey of me
Swinging from tree to tree to be
An ape of apian industry

And maybe tomorrow if not today
A champ of a chimp up the hard way
An ape called homo sapiens they say
Maybe a baboon but no buffoon
A gibbon given to philosophy
Wiser tomorrow than I was today

Rotating revolving under sun and moon
Wondering maybe may I be evolving soon

IV. Late Afternoon

Under the sun of the late afternoon
The dogses and I the three of us lie
Or I sit till the going down of it

The sunset and the coming of the night
With stars to wish we were who wish we might
Know now somehow we will all be all right

Becoming us who will be coming soon
To be forever still but never will
Within the rhythm of the sun and moon

Wonderful work, as always, dear friend. Your words are creative, innovative and inspire us to see beyond what's placed in front of us everyday. Much love~
