one for the Iron Grandmother
Fossilized pharaohs of narrowness
Elders of grave renown
Put their feet down to beat down progress
Back in Orange my hometown
When I was a kid that was what they did
Because the Bible told them so I guess
The City Fathers according to
The Iron Grandmother
Were worthy of mockery were who
Were even too too for her
The only way she could ever get rid
Of them was death or taxes in excess
Grandma was too but not too too so
That shows they must have been
Some very too too old men you know
When I was a kid back then
The fear that haunts my hometown was to blame
Some City Mothers now but still the same
