for Erwin Carney

I. Anomaly

What have I become
By the broken rule of thumb
Is my total greater than my sum?

If not famous not yet infamous
Anomalously anonymous

Never any good at keeping score
Having been for many maybe more
Better now than I was then before

I am like I am like you but me
Ultimately an anomaly

II. Lancean Lunch

It has gotten to be in my extremity
Butter toffee peanuts and mango madness punch
Constitute a positively Lancean lunch
Or maybe that is all for the day anyway

But all in all after the fall enough for me
At the luckiest time of all on Saturday
At 7:11 as good a time to be
As any of the many I have been before

And having been in spite of it all to be more
Life keeps going on and I keep keeping on too
My heart beating breathing in and out as I do
Only I am lonely here alone without you

III. Existential

I have never been so existential
My existence so inconsequential

Being homeless is the best way to be
If you want to be existentially
Not that I chose I was given the hose
Out on my ear to be alone out here

But by the means of the ends of my friends
Sheltering I wait to see how this ends

I place a trinket in the knothole of the Boo Radley tree, Steven. The trinket is to say how creative it is to give this as a new address: 'a box in this little store.' These boxes in this little store are new addresses for others, as well. And for many, many I believe, also have the marking of: "only place of friendship." Little box's... friends with other little boxes. "Postcards from Santa Ana" is seen by me in whereverland and validated, appreciated, respected and believed. ~~ DIana

I'm so sorry for you. I wish you were closer by me in Canada.
