Being here now having been this far
In this unusual place to be
Finding myself I mind he is me
His familiar face becoming clear
This usual suspect that I see
Though we know each other so we agree
Being understood to see the good

Having been this far how here we are
Now to shine on like a shooting star
When till we are not then we will turn
What cannot be learned except for here
In this unusual place to learn
To hidden things revealed as they appear
Seeing the good to be understood

Shadows as reflected on the wall
Of Plato's cave revealed as real after all

Intricate basket-weave of a poem. I especially appreciate the "When till we are not then we will turn," and the role reversal of stanza 1 and 2's last lines. ~~ Diana

As you turn around you will see your own shadow, who has been following you and learning the things together with you. When you face towards what is bright; so yes, you both shine together when learned and understood.
