You and I have known each other now for so long
And all along as we have grown it has kept us strong
To know as we grow how somebody cares to see
Somebody daring somehow to be you or me
As dare we do right where you and I come to be
Caring we the daring who were free all along

We who knew we loved us as we grew near from afar
Love us here and now and always as just as we are
