My friends and I tend to be mad
Something had in common to be glad
To be mad who glad they are too
Say if you are mad maybe you
Maybe we may be mad together
The question why not but not whether
Glad to be mad and not sad

I had never fit in within
Without but my way out was in

Where I fell through the cracks to find
Another way there by other mind
Another day of otherwhat
That is what is but it is not
Is otherwise as I ought to know
Falling all the way to see it through
Otherwise the way I do

What is that is but it is not
Is otherwise as otherwhat

I fell then all the way to now
Where as then was when so now is how
And why as I learned the hard way
How it turned out to be somehow
To be freeing me to be being
The rest now then seeing the best way
For me to be anyway

Finding some on the other side
Likeminded like you for the ride

Because I am mad I can see
What had made me sad not being me
Not being what I meant and so
I went and I was glad to go
Knowing going mad as going free
How in the way out now I may be
Maybe be glad to be mad

Another way of otherwhat
That is what otherwise is not
