Inward

Introverted and reclusive
Extraordinarily elusive
Once having been an extrovert
Learning the hard way having been hurt

Turning inward but not away
Here in a Hi-Desert hideaway
Learning now turning how and why
I am and doing before I die

Letting go and letting it be
Forgiving forgetting being me
Living and giving me a chance
To see me be Steven Curtis Lance

Seeing me being myself I
See diamond stars blue velvet sky
And though unseen here in between
To be or not I know what I mean

To be and do for the rest of
My days by always my best for love
Being better for having been
Freeing me seeing me be again

Turning inward but not away
Here in a Hi-Desert hideaway

We used to call people who were introverted and hung out in the high desert, "hermits." But I guess that no longer applies. You are probably just a "prepper" in disguise. ;-)

Sometimes I think we all need a hideaway to get our thoughts together. I really enjoyed this, Steven.

Love ya!
