To Write the Night Away
My superego knows it should
My ego thinks it could
My id idiotically
Insisting it would be
Resisting destiny not to
Be persisting so I do
Seeing as how I see
Myself and I agree with me
Seeing me now being who
Would go on going on
When people ask me about it I say
Something must be the matter with me to be
Such a lone lobo and so far away
Described as willowy and otherworldly
Arriving at transcendence on my own
But it just turns out I like to be alone
Transcending at the end finding my way
Mindful that for that it matters to be free
For being itself seeing what I see
That being myself is what matters to me
To write the night away like this
And send it like a kiss
To faraway friends everywhere
Across the sea I see there
You shine here in my sky
Tonight as the light I see by
To see me through my dawn
Seeing you as being why
I should and could and so I would
Go on until I am gone
