Falling Through the Sky Hubris into nemesis Into the abyss But if you know who you are You can be a star And then even if you fall You were after all If when falling through the sky You learn how to fly Even falling all the way Flying anyway I did this and bounced out of The abyss by love Like Icarus I meant to Soar up to the sun Unlike him to be the one To so I went to Though like him the myth came true Icarus undone Hubris into nemesis Flying nonetheless Falling through the sky showed me What I had to see My past no longer present Was not what I meant I forgot a lot but I Do remember this Through with sadness then I knew What I had to do Through the madness through the fear I had to be here Through with yesterday to say Here I am today Steven Curtis Lance
