First Light of Spring It was going to rain But then it was not Yes and no is what I got Neither could explain Where the rain was going Maybe because not knowing Not telling anyway But no rain today Tonight might be different Might be where the rain went After it forgot To arrive this afternoon Tonight by this full moon The first light of spring Might be coming overnight The light overcoming When winter is gone When spring enters with the dawn Seen in another light It might rain a lot Whether it does or not soon The weather is changing Whether yes or no Rearranging even so Whether it rains or not Tomorrow first light Might see spring has come tonight Steven Curtis Lance
