Breakthrough

1

The news has been discouraging
But spring encouraging
Telling me stay until the end
To go on and transcend
Depression existentially
Go out and look and see

Spring is the thing I need to be
The light is right outside
To go and get and know inside
Let me not forget when
I might as well be anyway
For better than has been

Tomorrow might be better and
Today I understand
Another day is underway
To see what spring might bring
To light that might enlighten me
Some hope along the way

Spring is the thing encouraging
Me from the outside in

2

When I was in where I have been
The loony bin they used to say
About turned inside out from in
I learned to hang on the hard way

In a moment of clarity
When madness meant to show me then
To know I had to try again
If I got out from in someday

So here I am now to apply
How I have learned to live and die
But know it is not up to me
To say whether or to say when

Out from in I learned in the bin
What turned my not to be to be

3

To be me creatively
The reason I do what I do
Late in the season of me
Now is to make myself come true

Taking words to make them be
Awakening entirely
New things that were not before
To waken new reality
Make things up that in the end
Will take me up when I transcend

Before I do to break through
After all to be truthfully
Breaking through to be some more
What I do who I am too

To be me universally
Waking up in the dark to
Take up this opportunity
Make it through like a breakthrough
Post nubila phoebus to send
My love from around the bend

In the end ultimately
Love is what I do it for

Your last line is truly a "breakthrough" when we find out why we ultimately do what we love doing. I love it!

Love ya!

There is nothing like a desert sunset like the one pictured to bring peace and tranquility to a troubled mind. Upon watching such a sunset, one can fall into a breakthrough night's sleep where all the demons are thrown out in favor of love.

Understand the "breakthrough" you write so eloquently about, Steven. Good luck with it.
