Respect The way to be respected Is to be respectful And better than expected Expecting to be Your unexpected best to Not give up on you To live up to you and do It respectfully Of yourself and others who Having seen you see You come through what you go through Unexpectedly The glass half empty half full In reality The unexpectedness of Our best for the rest Of this opportunity To know what we mean We become successful when We are connected One with one another then Having respected Each of us as each other Expecting the best None beneath us nor above One to one agree Respect is not neglectful Of humanity Or what makes us human in Our propinquity In the mutuality Of our having seen Us through what makes us come true What it takes between Respect for one another The true st test of love Steven Curtis Lance Image by Franziska
