The Wrong Pants This morning my shorts were the wrong pants I had to put on my long pants The first time in a while since maybe May This is how I know now that the fall Has fallen on me after all By having put on the wrong pants today Whether sunsets or sunrises The weather is full of surprises Time for the wrong pants to be put away Along about when you just know Then it must not be long until snow I just hope it will snow on my birthday Wearing my long pants now until then (Remind me to find my long johns again) Steven Curtis Lance

Steven! This is such a darling poem. Now, I know I will be telling people with shorts on that they have the "wrong pants" on and to get those "long pants" on. Oh, Steven! You KNOW I will have fun with it.

and eat ham and eggs.
As for me, I'll miss those summer shorts,
and all the pretty girls legs.
