The Hi-Desert Hideaway My life is very small And yet all I can do somehow To hang on and get through When small seems better after all No time to be a pig Not wanting anything fancy Bigger would be too big I may look haunted and Lancey But what you see is true It took a lot to look a lot Like Leonardo though Da Vinci not DiCaprio Like nowadays I do But what an adventure to be Me eventually I never wanted to be tall So I would only grow To five-foot-ten back then because That is what Grandpa was And that was tall enough I thought For me to be since he Was how I wanted to be too I never quite got fat Though I worried so much I might But I worried about A lot of things that I found out And brought along with me I found what had been wrong with me Was knowing what I knew And I knew my mind was not right But was right about that What with my father a hitman And with me a madman Not wanting to be haunted but Growing up the hard way Knowing things that got too big for Me to know anymore In my ever after all now Very small seems like how at The Hi-Desert hideaway Steven Curtis Lance
