Uncertain to put it mildly
The markets have been swinging wildly
Manipulated possibly
Fated to bottom out probably
But few have the money to play
Financial games of chance anyway
With something new to think about
While staying in and doing without
Or going out with a mask on
Hand sanitizer from Amazon
Governmental myopia
So as not to see dystopia
Around the corner not too far
Warnings unheeded and here we are
Needing to come together now
But afraid of each other somehow
A climate of uncertainty
Climate change becoming certainty
I certainly wonder like you
If those who rule us know what to do
There is no real escaping a contagious virus. It generally just runs its course. Projected now to cause 3.4 deaths per 100 cases. So far only the elderly with underlying illnesses or compromised immune systems. Young people seem to whether it quite well.
But with all the reporting of every little suspected case, the paranoia over what to do grows. As businesses self quarantine, trade drops off, and so does the economy. The only shopping this virus will be an effective vaccine, not expected for many months, after testing.
After Coronavirus runs its course and a couple of years, the markets will all level out and hopefully move towards prosperity again.
Where you are in your solitude, you stand a good chance of escaping it all together.
