The fridge would be a Gibson
At my uncle's because
After all that was his name
Whatever my aunt thought

She decided since it was
Her name too she felt the same
Like what she did for love
The dishwasher and the range

So that was what she got
For that kitchen hall of fame
Along with the shock of
A lifetime from the handle

For my uncle looking on
As a Gibson it was strange
Almost out brief candle
And that name could be a shame

Forgotten now or not
Brand loyalty was to blame
But these Lance bars I see
Will go on when I am gone

So I eat my sweet chance
Take one for the family
From boxes in my fridge
Patty Brown had sent to me

Grateful for this privilege
That I unwrap to be
Fateful for my pilgrimage
And glad my name is Lance
