Never ending parties to
celebrate the eve
of another New Year
People crowded into
Time Square
500,000 strong
There to watch
Dick Clark
&
A dropping ball
Fireworks sound
As the clock
Comes
Around
To Midnight
EST
It’s still 11pm here
Nowhere near
Time Square
just
Ozark hills
a TV
&
Me
3 cats strong
&
One cold pizza.
LoL. So true. I was watching Leno, and although I am in EST, I realised that he and his audience isn't, and they were celebrating a bit early! I thought the formant to be very appropriate!
Dee,
The format looks great, and the poem is wonderful! I have been to Times Square on New Year's Eve, and I agree with LaBelle...I would rather be with you!! The crowd is insane, and the rush to get out of the center, is even worse!!
And please read Peggy's comment, there is nothing else I could add to that...it is so true!
You are a light here at the Den!!!
Hugs and a Very Blessed New Year to you!!!
Thank you for always reading, and your beautiful, supportive comments! You have a gift!
Jamie was a healthy, active 12-year old who loved to skate and played hockey as well as any boy. Then one afternoon during a game, she suffered a stroke that changed her world. Her memoir takes the reader through her ordeal and her journey out of the
TRUE STORY. Bella survived an abusive powerbroker father with organized crime ties, a drug-addicted mother and a physically/sexually abusive brother. Shocking & inspirational. When she couldn't cry, she tattooed a crying angel to cry for her.
Asa D Seeley, a young Afro American man, shares his struggle to leave his past behind as he reaches for his future. In his one-of-a-kind style, he searches for answers...from the visible & invisible. A Memoir in Poetical/Prose form.
I spend my time on my PC waiting for new year wishes from my AD friends.....fireworks kills the world...slowly but surely
