This Time Around…

This time around,
I will use my mind less,
and my time more.

This time around,
I will only be concerned with what is really important;
Appreciating you fully and living life with you completely.

This time around,
I will spend less time comparing you to what I’ve known or wanted,
and more on learning who you are and what you give me.

This time around,
I will not wait to give you what I know you want,
before you give me what I think I want.

This time around,
I won’t make promises I can’t keep or say words I don’t mean.
I will fight against being my worst, while struggling to be my best.

This time around,
I will spend less time criticizing, complaining or reacting,
while more time appreciating, understanding and agreeing.

This time around,
I will not waste time, drive by sunsets, or pass up picnic spots,
but rather cherish every moment, smell more roses and see more things.

This time around,
I will not miss little opportunities to kiss, to hug, and to say “I love you.”
I will fully savor every touch, every look, and every tender word.

This time around,
I will spend less time thinking about doing good deeds,
while more on carrying them out, especially for you.

This time around,
I will not try to go around and just redo old things,
but rather go forward and discover new ones.

This time around,
I will not be thinking about life;
I will be living it, with you.

This time around,
It will be my time that brings me happiness, and not my mind.
