Mommy’s on a road trip
And Daddy’s stuck right here
She has now retired from working
But Daddy still has years
I love this combination
Five days of pure retreat
Cause all I have to do is whine
And then I get to eat
A tiny slice of pizza,
A pup-peroni too
I just expose my belly
And he don’t know what to do
He compensates by rubbing it
But I just bat my eyes
And then before you know it
He forgets to compromise
A little piece of Sunday’s steak
A taste of Monday’s ham
Against his better judgment
I get marinated lamb
Mommy tried to warn him
About my evil ways
But he just doesn’t listen
He’s a sucker for my gaze
And when the dogs go to the vet
And I’m the one whose seen
I’m not the one that gets the blame
For the Pork Pie Drama Queen
Heh - Heh - Heh
Cute poem and darling doggie!

He’s a sucker for my gaze
I truly know what you mean - I'm a sucker for both dogs and cats - but I wouldn't want to live without them.
Be always safe,
Karen
