Cooties were a curse, except when the game came along. Wonderful nostalgia expressed. Girls were always saying that I was, "Cute." So, I would respond with, "That means you want to kiss me?" I always scared them away, cuz girls got COOTIES.

I knew you were one of the good guys. Some of my very first pets were turtles and snakes, and I kept them in the shed under our garage because my mother wouldn't let me keep them in the house. (But I often couldn't resist bringing them inside, to terrorize my sister!)
Sentimentalism and melancholy will attract like paper that catch flies, because all of us have, openly or not, our own cooties girls, some of us just don't want to admit it, cos Captain Marvel wouldn't either!
