Weasel - the 16 pound demon dog. Roughly to TEF's sixteen tons

Poem Artwork

Adopt sixteen pounds

And whadda you get

A lotta aggravation

And more trips to the vet

Saint Peter don’t you call me

Cause I can’t go

I owe my soul to the

Local Pet Store

If you see her ah comin’

You better step aside

Or your socks will be in tatters

Your sneakers butterflied

Your mail will be dismembered

There’s water on the floor

Drinking bowl’s upended

And scratches on the door

Hand towel’s missing from the kitchen

Toilet paper’s in the hall

Nearly sprained an ankle

Stepping on a tennis ball

I need to call a dog shrink

This dog thinks she’s a cat

Compared to her sister

She really is a brat

Saint Peter don’t you call me

Cause I can’t go

I owe my soul to the

Local Pet Store

As I plod round the field daily with my AT LAST relatively placid 13-yr old retriever, I have to have a quick tee-hee as I spot new little bundles of energy jerking a foot off the ground on a spanking new length of lead, or tying their befuddled owners up in knots quicker than the tentacles of a jelly fish. I DO miss her flinging my mother's stockings way up in the air with wild abandon, though... dogs obviously have a thing for feet! HAVE FUN, PATRICK! And enjoy heaven in the local pet store - when you're allowed to get there! :)) xx

Sounds like quite a playful pup!!

PS: I have a cat who thinks he's a dog - he loves hangin out with my mischevious mutts.

Patrick, I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it before, but I really love the way your mind works... This was a real fun trip. Johnny would have been tickled to have read this paraphrasing of his song. Thanks Dick

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! And you wouldn't return her to wherever little, sixteen pound Weasles come from for anything. Sounds about like a five year old child.

Delightful stuff, Patrick. You have effectively shared the personality of your canine friend. Love and peace to you,

Hmm...a high-spirited observation into canine nature.
So sweet!
Yes, I agree with Peter, Patrick, try to read Marley and Me. The book is so much fun!
That poor guy goes through everything from impotence to a completely destroyed home.
Have fun (tee hee)!

Oh, you know you love it! Ever see the movie "Marley and Me?" Kind of reminds me of that. Bring tissues, waterfalls at the end. Waterfalls.
