Mother, Cry For Me...

Mother …

Cry for me when I am lonely,

and not when I am down.

Cry for me when I am losing all faith,

But not when I am seeking hope.

Each night I gaze into the mirror,

tears trickling down my face,

missing the perfect vision of you and your motherly embrace.

Remembering the mother who loved me with the greatest love.

A love that has no boundaries and stands strong in times of despair.

God’s love.

With each tear, I wonder will I ever see you again

and pray to never forget the life we shared as one.

Each night I returned, hoping you would be there,

Waiting for me,

to lift me up again like you used to do when I was down.

Then one night, when I lost my way,

I thought I felt your presence there with me,

Just as it used to be.

So I called out to you,

“Mother...Can you hear me?”  I asked aloud, as I waited for your calm voice.

“Mother...Can you see me?”  I asked, as I became withdrawn from my beliefs.

“Mother...Do you still love me?”  I asked in despair and loneliness.

Then, as I stood there in front of the mirror,

gazing into the eyes of the one you made,

I heard a voice speaking to me.

A voice from deep within,

that I knew could only be you.

“Son, yes I can hear you ...”

“Yes I can see you …”

“And my love for you will never change, for it is all that I am and what you will become.”

“You are not alone son. I am always by your side.”

“Over the years, I have watched you grow and I am proud of you and the man you have become!”

“Don’t cry for me, for I am in a better place.”

“A place where there is only love and the love I share with you.”

“We will see each other again.  This to you I promise.”

“I am in this place forever, waiting patiently for the day we will spend an eternity as one.”

“But for now, my love is within you.”

“I know this because you are a part of me, and I a part of you …”

Mario,
Amazing write, another one that I can identify with. I miss my Mother with all my heart and soul. She isn't with me anymore, but she lives in my heart forever, just as your Mother lives in yours. We will see them again!

Many blessings,
~Linda

Mario,
This most beautiful, touching and soul deep writing...to your beautiful mother. She is always ..where you are! I can see the resemblance in your faces. I miss my mama, and after reading this, I miss her more than ever. I have cried out for my mama many nights, and I am old, but no matter what age we are, we miss and love and will always need them near, even if only in their spirit. This is such a tender and loving, almost prayer-like writing to your mom. I am sure she is PROUD!!
