Still Pressing on...amen

Poem Artwork

What is a plea?

It's seeking reflief from the sag...

a cry of dispair...

a tormented need to smooth the jag

It's a deep 'yearn' for favor...

a haunting 'quest'  for a desire

a parching 'thirst'

...with no abating of ferver

It's silent and loud... screams...

in a dark and dank day

a surge of faith, of blessed hope

...that leads the way

It's writhing...

at the Master's feet

not knowing the end...

but trusting Jesus...for miraculous to see

It's the imploring

of the Almighty's Creator's will

grasping at straws...praying...

moaning with no light...but reaching...still

...a plea...a plea...a plea

Ps 13:1-3, 22:1-2 & Ps 42

My pleas for this pain to go away sometimes seems unanswered, but I have faith that the Lord will take it away when it is his time. May God bless you every day of your life.

Beautiful, Joyce. When we fall on our knees in prayer we are looking for hope and your poem reflects that well. Nicely done...

Wonderful, and yes I am frequently there :-)
I find my peace walking with Jesus and remembering God's many blessings in my life, and bringing me through all the tough times.
HE is Awesome.

Deeply felt emotion in this piece, Joyce. One pleas for many things, guidance when all seems lost and we don't know which way to turn...there is only one. Well done. Hugs, Elizabeth

Joyce,
I am so happy God has answered my plea and delivered me through his son Jesus Christ. This poem is truly a great reminder of what each one of us has in Christ.

Yes, Joyce, a plea is deeper than a mere 'ask' it has more earnestness and passion.

Your soul-reaching words are most compelling, Joyce; I am very familiar with "pleas" and with pleading. Thank you. Love and blessings to you,

Regis
