And So On

This is a poem about a community of today in which some blacks call it the hood. It's for some younger kids growing up without a father with no direction in life, they feel that they have to do what they have to do to help their Moms with the raising of the younger siblings, but all the time they are getting trapped into death. The poem is short, but it has a tall meaning. Enjoy!

And So On

A child is born ,and it's a boy

just like any other kid

he played with toys.

As he grew older

his mind began to change

from cowboys and indians

to a street learned game.

A thug is what it's called

in this life he thought he

had it all.

With no father figure

he thought he had to think

bigger

for his younger brother

who had no other.

Money  Money Money

Bling Bling Bling

Not giving any thought

to the hurtful sting.

Destruction and then death

was seen by his younger brother

as he wept.

"Mother" Don't worry I've learnt

from what I've seen , I won't

go that way.

And So On there came

a brighter day.

A SAD STORY THAT IS SO OFTEN THE CASE IN A SITUATION LIKE THE ONE THAT IS DEPICTED HERE. JEUS IS ALL WE HAVE TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE...BUT THEN...JESUS IS ALL WE NEED TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS WELL WRITTEN WORK. ENJOYED. BLESSINGS.
