When the seasons change and the flowers bloom and the snow falls, I will surely miss you.
When the summer's heat leaves one less hand to wipe the sweat and someone says or does something you have said or did, I'll stop across my forehead and I'll remember that your presence is real.
When the winter chills my body with its roughness and when the blistering cold makes my skin tingle, I'll remember your pain and in my heart I'll know that it was his mercy and his grace that came and rescued you.
In between the thoughts, I know your trip was safe because in his arms he gave you a pillow to rest your head and freed the pain saying no more.
I know prayer has been with you and as I remember your smile, your laugh, and your love, I know that prayer has been with me, too.
But in betwen my thoughts, I will surely miss you.
