Like A Tiger Cub I am like This tiger cub Starting to grow Striped tumble of paws Like a little orange cherub With my pen and scrapbook But will soon grow into The archangel cat The feline cathedral That is my mother I would like to say That the majesty That is tiger already Flickers in these Brown dazzled eyes But my only projection For my own protection Babies do become adults I know that much But can only guess at more And I can only hope For what I will become When I emerge From time's chrysalis When I leave behind This young animal play And honed my skills For my life began Only to be One big Poetry Pen Copyright � 2005 Tinka Boukes All Rights Reserved
