Sunny Day
The sea was quiet,
The surf was low,
Together they ambled,
Their kite in tow,
Sharing a smile,
They cherished the fun,
Frolicing about,
In the noon day's sun,
She giggled as she ran,
And pulled the line taut,
Laughter was the music ,
From the soul was wrought,
He pitched the kite high,
And the wind gave loft,
Soaring through the air,
Where the clouds are soft,
Upon a current,
It found it's wing,
With shrieks of pure joy,
She began to sing,
Their time together,
Full of cheer and bliss,
A wink of her eye,
A father did miss.
