Without your sacrifice, Lord,
there would be no life eternal,
it would all be an inferno of sin
and darkest despair.

Without your blood, Lord,
there would be no promise
of your hereafter; there would
be no laughter, no joy to unfold...
Your story never heard - never told.

Without your light, Lord,
the path to eternity would be
dark and treacherous,
full of holes, placed
there to trap the souls of
those unfortunate enough
to have lost their way...
They've given up at the
end of the day.

Without your Grace, Lord,
and a hold on your Faith,
what a terrifying place this would be.
To forfeit your beauty,
your promise, your soul;
to forfeit all this to become
less than whole, spirit would
have to be beaten -
darkness would have to see victory.
Such a sadness to witness
th death of heart's sun;
in a world all alone,
a world come undone.

Without your Love of us, Lord,
there would be no ability to be one
with all that surrounds and envelops us
within this, your great and glorious Eden.
The rose would never bloom,
there would be no tune of
the spheres around us...
so let us share a prayer of gratitude
for the latitude He allows us
in his ability to forgive our sinful ways.
And let us hope for laughter, for the
joy of everafter - and let us sing
the wondrous song of Christ in praise.
