There is a book called "By the Edge of Raven Pool." It was written by Hansel Hillyer, a Savannahian. It is currently out of print. I read it when I was a young girl and my father took me to this home on Taylor Street in historic Savannah, Georgia.
Ossabaw Sound is between the Atlantic Ocean and the port of Savannah. Please see "The Ghost Ship of Ossabaw Sound...the Sea Witch" for relevance to "The Edge of Raven Pool".

They found her next day where the children played

She searches for him when the winds blow hard
He steers the "Sea Witche's" roam
Both to be doomed to do without
Attempting to bring their hearts home.
