A poem written about chasing a dream in life and making that dream a reality.

A seed of hope was planted In a life full of despair The dream of a golden future In a world that had no care Arcadia of pleasure Euphoric days await A heart that beats with joy again My dreams they can relate Almost an addiction Obsessional desire Sacrificing all I can To light that perfect fire Ignoring those around me Focusing what’s here Immersion in the better life Removing yesteryear Yet paradise is lonely Confined to lonely realm Ignorance can blind the sight The dark can overwhelm T wo sides to every story The darker side of light A sun that sets forever Entwined with darkest night Reality surrounds me Choices to be made Give up everything in hope Don’t let the fortune fade Decision time is looming Life’s path has split in two Countdown to the answer Of which I must pursue

I was going to suggest that you take the path less traveled by
but my better half reminded me that someone had already taken that
line. Yeah, but it's such a good line. Take it anyway.
