All eyes are on me

An isolated focus

Encircling over me

Thirty second meetings

Promises of fame

Placed on sugar pedestal

A throne of false acclaim

A realm of suffocation

No room to catch my breath

A lifeless smile for all to see

The mask of my true death

I don’t know anyone here

Yet they seem to be my friend

A paradox of patience

In a world of self pretend

Pulled apart like a rag doll

Each vulture wants a piece

They won’t rest until I’m done

A permanent decease

Now the party’s over

Their nails left a mark

I yearn for quiet moments

Where I can be me

The only one who knows myself
