a poem about hurting and being hurt in love until you find the one true love

Poem Artwork

 Walking through the memories

Witnessing fragile, broken hearts
Those that I have left in ruin
Like a master of fine arts

Collective memories fade
As the seasons come and go
What seemed to last forever
Melted with the snow

I used to know each detail
Those little trivial things
Now would I even recognise them
As they became discarded rings

I’m guilty of hurting many
Or was it just a few
I had to swim through darkened seas
Just to get to you

Love is not perfected
With life’s first purest kiss
It’s a whirlwind of emotions
Until the perfect bliss

I don’t apologise for the pain
Because it’s given in two ways
Take the rough amongst the smooth
Until you see brighter days

Good poem, and one most of us can relate to, I know I sure can. Sandie said it best.

One either becomes stronger and more resilient, or they become jaded.

Well, when we were young we don't always meet the right one, so many hearts are broken when we had a change of heart. It was rough whenever that happens.
