Journalism is as dead as a lump of clay
I visited its grave yesterday
The papers are filled with propaganda
Everyone is coloured grey
The tell-lie-vision is ten times worse
If the anchor tells the truth, there’ll be hell to pay.
‘Good evening, viewers, hear what I have to say
These are the headlines I made up today:
Ten insurgents were killed over desert sand
Their president is a dictator like Saddam.
Meanwhile, the government has unveiled a new master plan
For the schools and hospitals – they have heard your cries
And in Sports, Dan is the man in the van.’
You can tell they’re a pack of lies
They can even give you tomorrow’s news today
About the wars that they themselves started yesterday.
Everyone knows that Tomorrow Never Dies.

However, with all the cable channels for the pundits to use, and the Internet with all the blogs, we are deluged with misinformation every day. I choose not to read most of it. The camera does not lie, especially when it has sound. We just have to have good crap detectors to make sure that we are getting the real deal.
