Somalia evolves in a cycle of conflict
Whereby a tribe agrees to fight a nation
Then the tribe picks a fight with its clans
Then the clan will be attacked by its family
And the family breaks down into rival members
Till two brothers end up killing each other
Tribe dismantles the unity of a nation
But never can unity be woven from tribal thread
Tribal politics is the road to doom

It reminds me of a saying, "A man's enemies will be of his own household" If we cannot find the strength to say No to violence and loaylty to tribe/clan above and excluding people, we will not find the answers to our needs. We need each other; we cannot shut others out of our lives.

There is so much left undone that needs to be done. Now the fighting in Tripoli has begun again. Me thinks wars are on the rise all over, unfortunately. People have forgotten how to discuss their issues.

Unity can never be woven from tribal thread. That is absolutely right. Here, the above cartoon, Amin Amir captures the idea of tribal politics where the president tries to unweave unity inorder to strengthen his own clan. It is a real unfortunate.
