Actually that's not outrageous ... For valentines one year I spent nearly that much and didn't get caviar. 3 things to remember... She can afford it... It's NYC... It's the Waldorf Astoria. Unless you've eaten there you wouldn't know. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a certain amount of class be given to the first lady. Democrat or republican.
so right you are... in point, I too am very happy to give--help where is needed, and I do too. However, if it is mandated of me to give to someone else, who in turn gives it to an institutions to give to another to give to someone in need, I certainly see my means dwindling into pockets and putting little in the hands of those who need it. LET US BE THE MIDDLE MEN!!! Don't we know our communities best? (fuming) --Charlie
This is indeed a well written and enlightening piece. Talk about excessive and highly hypocritical.....hard to swallow! Australian politicians and their spouses are no different!
It is a sad statement on today's world, I am going without heart medication and diabetes pills for the next two weeks because my disability pension just doesn't go far enough to cover the $130 deductable I have to pay out of my pocket...sucks to be rich doesn't it.
Geez, a bit pricey just for lunch. Could sure fix many a meal for that kind of money, but it is her money so she can order and eat what she wants, just leave my pie alone. I decide who gets a piece, not any government...
