Poem Artwork

As the light dims…

The adventure we created

Slowly fades away.

Oh life…it is so dear;

A revere, a beautiful union

Layering on bold strokes

Brushed across a canvas

Of our exploration,

Still lingering wet with

Oil based ochre

And cerulean blue;

Spiriting our ambitions

Oxygen inflamed billows

Like raging wildfires.

You, loving me;

Me, loving you.

Just faded glory

creeping along the border

of what could be.

But there in the center,

Like every new day

A nuclear fusion bursts forth.

Pushing our sails further out

Into an unexplored space,

Where hydrogen converts

Into lofty helium aspirations,

As we drift in and out of trust…

But always still finding us.

Reading your words is like watching a sunset changing the sky to verragated shades and hues of color...

Sounds like you have a good relationship and this poem paints a fine canvas of your journey together. Some fine lines like:"Oil based ochre
And cerulean blue..." And a GREAT TITLE! Enjoy the journey...

Oh, my dear - what a superb line that is! Love the poem, but honest to god, that line will linger in my mind for days.

You have ,it seems to me,examined a relationship very well without reducing the whole affair to cold analysis. The resulting wormth is almost palpable, the metaphors almost visible things.
