What treasure this ... come one starlit morn?
God's gift to man; His only Son born.
He came to earth knowing He would die;
knowing on earth men would kill and lie.
What treasure this ... birthed in a stable--
knowing His sacrifice enabled
angelic pathway should He die
to rejoin His Father in the sky?
What treasure this ... made angels rejoice?
They sang in chorus ... one holy voice.
A Man on earth, a heavenly Soul--
supreme sacrifice ... making man whole.
What treasure this ... a baby newborn.
More precious than anything on earth--
the Child of God. Give thanks for His birth!
