Lamenting at life's series of unfortunate events.....

Hath Pity Gaoler Let Me Be

Ch'erie de Perrot

Scour me deep till flesh shall weep
blood seepeth from ev'ry pore
blatant repeat of denied sleep
whittled away till I be no more

Canst I not tell of this inner hell
bound gagged and torn?
Nae tis a heart well beyond the tell
I be a cowards pawn

Truth be lost neath heartless frost
that smiles through glistening teeth
merciless cost I hath been squashed
through loyalties foolish wreath

Might I breathe permission please
this air I've heard be free
doth reprieve mine heart so grieved
Hath Pity Gaoler, let me be!

This. Is. Poetry. Sheer genius in this emotive, captivating dynamo. The reader feels each painful word...I concur with Fee, this needs to be published. Please.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Cherry this is one hell of a gripping write and worthy as hell of your name on it in a publication. I think it is one of your best works ever.

Fee

Such a passive piece of work (passive is goo . . . sometimes) with the prisoner and the jailer. It is impressive and heartfelt.

This is a stunning piece Cherie...Virgil's guiding hand was well with this spectacular write.
