RAIN

If a gun was pointed at my head, and had I to explain Rain,
I'd say it's water and they don't get much of it in the Sahara desert
or in Spain.

Go on, says the gunman, tell me something else about our friend
the rain.

On this sweet Earth, sir, rain is the condensation of atmospheric water vapor
into drops heavy enough to fall.

Go on, says the gunman, tell me something else about Pain.

Pain! I don't want blood running down my face, just rain.

Flash floods and monsoons, I tell him all I know about precipitation
I should have brought an umbrella,
a malacca cane,
something to ward off the insane.
Probably we'll go to the nearest ATM
to empty my credit card,
or maybe he'll pull the trigger
and ..... and .... squirt ...
a water-pistol!

Fooled again.
