How Dragon Acquired His Breath

A dragon licked the morning sun
To see if it was baked and done
He could not wait and took a bite
And found that it was spiced just right

YUM!

Nibbles leading up to ten
Drank a lake...then ate....again!
Gobbled more and then he belched
As rumbles down below he felt!!

OUCH!

His stomach churned and he felt warm
His brow was moist, as boils formed
His throat was raw, his swallow sore
And yet he hungered...for some more!!!

GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!

Just another lick or two
He had his fill....as belly grew
He drank a pond...then nibbled more!
His eyelids closed, and then he snored

ZZZZZZZZZZZ

He dreampt he flew in darkest skies
Around in circles did he fly
He wished that he could find some light
And then he belched!!!

AND MADE THINGS BRIGHT!!!

AHHHHHHHH

He shook his head as he woke up
Scratched his belly....then hiccuped!!!
He made a candle of a tree
SOME dreams came true ....as you can see!!!
