Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror~Kahlil Gabran

THE GIFT OF BEAUTY

Beauty is eternal, it knows not resting place

For it is seen below the skin, it lays not on the face

When all is seasoned thru the years, and contour loses form

A beauty housed within the soul, will never be transformed

True beauty cannot wear the veil, when centered in the soul

For vanities will be eclipsed, as time and deeds extole

For beauty is the window clear, where truth shined pure by view

Was given to each one of us........when we were fresh and new

Thru beauty we're connected, we are the seeds of life

Assorted and disimiliar, at heart we pump alike

For when the husk is withered, and scattered by the winds

We're led to beauty's genesis.......and paradise begins

Anita

First of all, what a stunning picture. I never mention the art in these poems because I think it is just window dressing and I don't care for it, but I have to mention this stunning picture. See! I used up all mu energy and haven't said a darn thing about your well-written poem. I liked it.

Absolutely breathtakingly ravishing, Anita! AND SO TRUEEEEE!! It's amazing that we are only just waking up to the fact that pure water makes beauty flourish from within, but likewise the inner light that is to be found in the soul. And truly, that inner light shines especially through the lamps of the eyes, I think. Interesting that that is the part of anatomy we connect with... intellectually speaking! A radiant gem of a poem this is, thank you! Kate xx

Anita this is a masterpiece! The art is so gorgeous that it seemed impossible, your words could surpass it, but they do! Kudo's! the sentiment alone is worth an award!
