DIAMOND SOUL
 
Moonlight guardian of the night soul
Before the diamonds, come the coal
Signature by smudge when pressed
Deep within a blind recess
 
A cleft of years survived untried
Advancing time demanding bribes
With naught to show, and less to give
The coal would be, left as it is
 
Until the stars would claim their own
In midnight blues veined raven tone
For buried in a tight recess
Dark coal would birth as diamond pressed
 
As the fallen angel cries
To find that home within the skies
To know it's there, yet out of reach
This timeless yearning, will not cease
 
For earthly stars upon this plane
Evolve as diamonds and remain
Among the strongest pressed from coal
To birth as stars with diamond souls
