I don't really know where I was going with this one, but I had a thought that kept kicking around in my head. Imagine a book that would customize itself to the reader of the moment. No title on the cover, no visible words on the pages, until read, with a unique message for each reader. Changing hands......and written voice. I don't know if I meant this to be mystical, metaphysical, or biblical. Pax A
Beholder Of The Book
The book was wise and waited For the eyes to show the heart It guarded pages faded Before it would impart
Words wise chosen to the eye Of each who held the book Beneath the gaze, asked lessons why Each need.....a different look
It told the man, with calloused hands A peaceful tale of rest Then shared a tale of foreign lands Of north, east, south and west
It showed the light from poverty To one in need of gold It reminisced the joys of youth For eye sight blurred and old
No title on the cover No hint of what it held Becoming on the moment The wisdom of the well
It held the every answer For every soul that asked When drawn on such inspection The book began, it's task
As all in all, it lead the way To entertain or guide The book became the servant And offered all inside
It told of love, and brotherhood And how life could well be Simplicity in common good Was there for eyes to see
The book was wise and waited For the eyes to show the heart And in new hands created The words where each should start
A profound concept executed very well. In fact, it's quite a big concept and you might consider working it into a novel. Enjoyed the read tremendously.

This is just phenomenal, Anita, and is a poem I should have written...you got it first and you aced it!! I love this, into my library it goes. This could so easily be a prologue to a child's book or even a screenplay. (Bowing down)...Hail A Pax!!!

Mystical, metaphysical AND Biblical, Anita!! This is a glorious unravelling of the Living Word... of whatever persuasion, I guess, but, yeah, for me Biblical. Of course, for Word to become truly Living and Active, it has to be anointed of the Spirit... but that's a totally different ballgame. Imagination is all powerful, in our minds we envisage scenarios as we wish. There are always a lessons to take away, and the lessons are not the same for everyone.

Pandora has a step brother who writes on platinum tablets with invisible ink. Anita, I agree with Eileen, since you've stopped eating cookies your mind has developed a wormhole to the land of Eden. I said this before, I think you are becoming the Alice in Wonderland of the Den.

Yes, one scripture from the Bible can touch each different heart a dozen different ways. This is an amazing piece, Anita. Don't let it get buried.

An oracle that answers all questions - what a stroke of inspiration. To me this 'book' offers so much more than individual interpretation and would agree that you should develop this idea further - sooner rather than later. Brilliant! - Panda :)

Reminded me of the never ending story... But Taylor makes a valid point..
Anita I love the idea and wisdom that this write presents and how it allows the reader to also think for a moment of the endless possibilities that such a book would offer. Very unique and origianal, definately ultra suitable to submit for publishing.
Very well written. I think you could go in any direction with this idea. I can see the Biblical possibilities just as well as the mystical or metaphysical. Either way, it turned out wonderfully.
Anita, you are so brilliant this is an idea that must be copyrighted quickly. I can see it like a hitchcock movie and it is too fantastic to leave on the board, in my opinion. I'd remove it and make it into a screenplay! Eileen
In truth, books do change for each reader, even the Bible is open to so many interpretations and suits itself to many demominations from the most conservative to the most liberal...why even the Gospels wrote the same story and each has it's own twist. A beautiful concept though and a pleaasure to read.
