Like the slow-ripening of fruit that both yields and nourishes the seed. A fecund fantasia that drips through the mind like dew from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Sultry images. TY K xx
To think that man had it perfect at one time in the Garden of Eden: perfect environment, perfect man/animal relationships, perfect climate, perfect relationship with God and perfect relationship between man and woman (Adam and Eve) - perfect emotions -perfect love, no negative emotions in Eden such as jealousy, bitterness etc. no. that's right out, they're denied completely.
Perfect mentality and physical conditions - no bald patch, crookedness, sagging, decay, illness, sorrow or tears. Perfect government too - no need for an economist in Eden because there was no greed and nothing that needed to be spread out economically - everything was there in abundance, perfect and indulged perfectly.
But then man went and spoiled it all through one act of disobedience. One tree, that's all God asked, stay away from just one tree. But no, we just had to stick our nose in didn't we? Ruin it all.
All we can do now in this fallen Eden of a world is fantasise about the original:
An oaisis of warmth
A shelter inspired
Petals unfoldng
Eden's desires
The beauty is there in poetry, but for the believer, there is another beauty. Genesis is paradise lost, but Revalation is paradise re-gained. In faith we look forward to dwelling once more in 'an oasis of warmth' with God providing the sunlight.
Your words have been a trigger of elavation this morning, Anita.
Goodness that's a gorgeous picture to go with your gorgeous phrasing. :-) Saw your comment on Aberjhani's poem. Yes, that's me. LOL. Ooops! I forgot to comment on his poem. Peace to you Anita, and I hope you got my response to your last note, Jersey Lady. ~~Nordette
