Thirst In The Shadows
 
The fountain was as crystal clear
As old as cosmic night
It's taste was cool, and oh so dear
Yet few had seen it's sight
 
To take one sip, was sure enough
To quench a mind and soul
For it had magic on the lick
With powers to behold
 
One taste for a lifetime
Was all one could withsand
One gentle swallow of the cool
And mortals would transcend
 
Where time would wash the hours
Over the hills to sea
Forever has no power
Or station of degree
 
Dancing, sleeping in and out
Past the mists of time
Those who have the inner eye
Drink, but not the blind
