and if we keep plucking and gathering...what will be left to tend?
When I pull a piece of fruit, after patiently waiting from bud to flower to bloom to fruit, and I slice into it and see the intrinsic designs, patterns of, etc...I am in awe at such creations!
Heaven sent is right!, "Chained by Root" is an outstanding composition of art and muse allowing me to see into another form of growth!

Almost like dying of thirst in the vicinity of water... or waiting - to starvation - with eyes closed, under the tree, for the fruit to plop down... right into one's mouth. I believe there has to be a balance, dearest Anita - in raising our eyes to the sky and lowering them to the ground. Without the vision (consciousness) of the roots, there can be no awareness of the fruit above... and without the vision (awareness) of the air, sun, and water that come from above, there can be no consciousness of those other elements the tree needs in order to thrive... in addition to the nutrients provided by the earth. Gee, dearest Lady, the reflections you elicited in my ever revolving mind, with this fabulous poem - and what your poems always do to me! :0) It sure is wonderful to read you again - and thank you, also, for the link to Aimea's amazing source of Art; I've been exploring it, and am totally spellbound!

In all of us our roots have an opportunity to go deep. With growth the foundation keeps us from tipping over if our roots are nourished. Your poetry is this and more.
Brava!

Oh ... I can certainly relate to this Anita. We all get root bound spiritually and creatively during our lifetimes - sometimes many times. The seasons are never easy to navigate through, or understand fully. The most important thing to come away with is knowing, beyond a shadow, that our true source is the Most High God. In Him all things exist and have their being.

It is very true that man is chained to this world and will never find peace until he releases himself of his shackles. Victor

Your poem is a very nice compliment to the picture. It all reminds me of the Circle of Life. And the quote by the unknown author is so true.
Love & Light always and in all ways,
