BREAKING THE WISHBONE
Wishbone, wishing well
To common sense we bid farewell
Fingers crossed, shooting stars
Magic glitters, from afar
Skip a stone across a pond
Count the ripples.....look beyond
Salt spilled upon the table
Knock on wood....believe in fables
Omens, criss cross time and space
The tried and true , we won't embrace
Some search for answers in the cards
Or hide behind the avant garde
Good luck charms around the neck
Are thought to grace us, and protect
Magical charms and incantations
Are held in awe and exaltation
To how much credence, can one give?
These crutches, that some need to live?
You cannot judge another's deeds.....
Give them the right....soothe their needs
The arcane and the esoteric
Have been around thru thin and thick
From ancient times up to today
When some feel lost upon their way

I've never thought of myself as superstitious
but my dog, Patches has a birthmark on his muzzle between his nose and eyes, that looks like a dollar signe. I always rub it believing it will bring me luck and it likely would except that he finds it annoying so he's not wishing with me.

this was nice yes some of us still depends on charms and old superstitiions because taht is what generations before us have done while others dont but in the end we all listento our inner spirit and soul
