COMPANIONS UNSEEN

She woke in the night, sat up in her bed
Drenched in moon lite, as whispers were said
Walked to the window, opened it wide
Felt her hand glow, there was something inside

Confused now was she, as sleep left her eyes
For her hand held a key, but no lock did she spy
Surrounded by mist, that parted to show
Lit by lunar kiss, a slumbering road

Lifted thru air, and gently eased thru
With footsteps now shared, by echoes of two
Still clenching key, in fist over heart
Companion unseen, as journey did start

Lost within mazes, puzzles, and swirls
Shooting star lasers, commotion and whirl
Fingertips brushing, soon hand in hand
Heavens glee blushing, proud of its plan

One traveler lock, the other has key
As fate ticks the clock, who knows what will be?
Dawn gifts the light, by direction of heart
To bind within deed, as new journey starts
